Property details: Area and surroundings
Understand the Area tab on a property: proximity score, coast distance, noise conditions and railway, plus filterable lists of amenities and public transport — shown directly on the map.
The Area tab on a property's detail page gathers everything about the location in one place: an overall proximity score, distance to the coast, noise conditions, proximity to railway tracks, and lists of amenities and public transport around the property. Use it to quickly judge how attractive and well-connected an address is — without leaving the property.
1Open the Area tab
Open a property (for example via search or from the map) and select the Area tab in the tab bar on the detail page.
The Area tab requires the property to have coordinates. If they are missing, No nearby places found is shown instead of data.
2Read the four indicator cards
At the top, up to four key cards summarise the location:
- Proximity score is an overall rating from Poor to Excellent, based on distance to groceries, transport, health, education and more.
- Coast distance shows the distance to the nearest coastline — a short distance positively impacts property value.
- Noise conditions shows the highest registered level in dB with a category (for example Quiet, Moderate noise, Very noisy) and a breakdown by source: Road noise, Railway noise, Aircraft noise and Industrial noise.
- Railway appears only if there are tracks nearby, with the distance in metres and any Railway noise in dB.
3Filter amenities and transport
Below the indicator cards is a row of category buttons. Click a button to hide or show that category — means shown, means hidden. The number on the button shows how many places were found.
Bus Metro S-train Train Light rail Groceries Restaurants & cafés Health Childcare Education Sports & fitness Banks & ATMs Post & parcels Culture & entertainment
Hide the categories that are not relevant to your analysis so the lists below stay shorter and easier to scan.
4Review the lists and show on the map
For each visible category a card shows the nearest places. Each row shows the name, a subtitle (address, stop or type), and the distance plus estimated walking time.
Nearest grocery store — Example address · 320 m · 4 min Another store — Example address · 540 m · 7 min
Click a row to mark the place on the map next to it. This lets you see exactly where a station, store or school sits relative to the property (Show on map).
On mobile you can swipe between the tabs, and the map appears as a bottom sheet below the details.
