DXF export to CAD (2D/3D)

Export your sketch or building model as DXF so it can be opened directly in CAD tools. Layers and measurements are preserved in the export.

Updated 6 June 2026

If you’ve sketched or built a model in Arcili, you can take it into your CAD tool. DXF is an open format most CAD programs can open directly.

1Open export

In the drawing or model view, click Export and choose DXF as the format.

2What’s included

  • Geometry — lines, faces and volumes from your model.
  • Layers — elements are split across named layers so you can control them in CAD.
  • Measurements — the correct scale is preserved, so dimensions fit in the CAD program.
1Sketch in Arcili → Export DXF → Open in CAD

3Open in CAD

The downloaded .dxf file can be opened in most CAD tools. The geometry lands at the right scale, so you can continue with design work.

Note

DXF carries geometry and layers — not full BIM information. If you need detailed design work, DXF is the starting point, not the final deliverable.
