Save status and editing the project name
Understand the autosave indicator in project development, save manually in the wizard, and rename the project inline right in the hub header.
Project development saves your work automatically as you go — and always shows when it was last saved. In the project hub you can also rename the project right in the heading with a single click. This guide explains the save indicator, manual saving in the wizard, and inline editing of the project name.
1Read the save indicator
While you work in a project, the header always shows the latest save status. The indicator has three states:
Saving — spinning icon while the change is sent Saved — Saved shows for about 4 seconds right after Save time — timestamp (e.g. 14:32) once it has saved earlier
The sequence is always the same: the moment you change something, the indicator switches to Saving, then briefly to Saved, and finally settles on showing the time of the last save.
In the project hub, changes are saved automatically. Every time you edit data in a tab — for example master data, finances or schedule — the change is sent right away, and you don't need to press a save button.
2Save manually in the wizard
When you build the project in the step-by-step wizard (Projektudvikling, steps 1-3), the header has its own save button. Use it to save your current draft before moving on or leaving the page.

- Click Save — the button shows Saving… while it works and switches to Saved once complete.
- Next to the save button you'll also find Project notes () and Copy project link ().
3Rename the project inline
The project name sits at the top of the hub header and can be edited directly — there's no need to open a separate dialog.

- Hover over the project name — a pencil icon appears.
- Click the name to open the text field.
- Type the new name and confirm with Enter or the checkmark.
- To cancel, press Esc or click — the old name is kept.
When you save the new name, Arcili confirms with a short message (Name updated), and the save indicator updates just like for any other change.
An empty name is not saved. If you delete all the text and confirm, the project keeps its previous name.
4Changes apply everywhere
The new name and the saved data follow the project across every view — the hub overview, the individual modules and the wizard. When you open a module from the hub, the module header shows the same project name and the same save time, so you always know you're working on the latest version.

The save indicator only reflects changes that have been sent off. If you keep seeing Saving for a long time, or the save time is missing, check your connection before closing the tab.
