Project Development: handover control and quality assurance

Record inspections, work through the BR18 checklist phase by phase, run the defect list up to the handover meeting, and track the warranty period — all logged in the activity log.

Updated 5 June 2026

As a development project approaches construction and handover, Project Development brings quality assurance and handover control together in two tabs of the project hub: Quality and Handover. Here you record inspections, work through a BR18 checklist phase by phase, run the defect list up to the handover meeting, and track the warranty period — all logged automatically in the project activity log.

Note

The Project Development hub requires desktop (a screen at least 1024px wide). Open the project under Projektudvikling and find the tabs in the hub bar at the top.

1Switch to Quality and Handover

Open your project under Projektudvikling and use the tab bar at the top of the hub. Two tabs cover handover control:

OverviewQualityHandoverActivity
  • Quality — inspections and the BR18 / quality checklist across the whole build.
  • Handover — defect review, handover protocol, and warranty period.

Both tabs save continuously, and every entry is written to Activity with a date.

2Record inspections

On Quality you document each inspection — internal checks as well as authority inspections. Click Add inspection and fill in:

Add inspection

Type — Own inspection · Building inspection · Structural check · Fire inspection · Handover inspection · Warranty inspection Inspector — name / company Location — e.g. roof structure ResultApproved Approved w. remarks Not approved Pending

Inspections are sorted newest first. Click a row to expand notes or delete the inspection. Three KPIs at the top show status:

Inspections held
Recorded inspections
Not approved
Inspections needing action
QA checklist
Items checked

3Work through the BR18 / quality checklist

The BR18 / Quality checklist card gathers control points split across the project's four phases. A progress bar shows how far you are, and a counter reads e.g. "12 of 21 items checked".

BR18 / Quality checklist

Preparation — Local plan checked and mapped · Noise screening completed · Geotechnical survey carried out · Building permit submitted Establishment — Fire protection approved (BS600) · Structural calculation checked · Energy frame (BR18) confirmed · Building permit received Execution — Shell inspection completed · Airtightness test (BlowerDoor) passed · Sound insulation (SBi 232) checked · Ventilation (DS428) checked Completion — Final inspection approved · Handover protocol signed · Occupancy permit received · 1-year inspection scheduled

Click an item to check it off — the date is set automatically. Checked items are struck through and can be unchecked again.

4Run the defect review

On Handover you register defects from inspection and the handover meeting. Click Add defect and enter location, description, responsible trade, priority, and deadline:

Defect review

PriorityCritical Major Minor StatusOpen In progress Pending Resolved Rejected Responsible trade — e.g. carpenter, plumbing · Deadline — overdue deadlines are marked red

Filter the list between Open, Resolved, and All. Click a defect to change its status directly or read notes. Four KPIs at the top give the overview:

Open defects
7
Not resolved
Critical
2
Needs action
Resolved
14
Closed defects
Handover date
From protocol
Tip

Set the status to Resolved once a defect is fixed — this updates the KPIs and writes a line to the activity log, so the handover meeting can be documented.

5Handover protocol and warranty period

Below the defect list you fill in the handover itself. Click on the Handover protocol card to record the handover date, the number of keys handed over, and tick Handover protocol signed.

The Warranty period card tracks the warranty after handover:

Warranty period

Start date — suggested from the handover date End date (5 years) — the 5-year warranty 1-year inspection suggested — calculated automatically one year after handover Warranty claims — register claims with a description and status (Open · In progress · Resolved)

Add warranty claims as they arise, and use the suggested 1-year inspection as a reminder along the way.
