Accept an invitation to a team

Open your invitation link and join the team — accept with one click if you have an account, or create an account and accept in the same step. Get access to the workspace with your assigned role.

When a colleague invites you to their team in Arcili, you receive an email with an invitation link. The link takes you to a page where you either accept with a single click (if you already have an account) or create an account and accept in the same step. Afterwards you have access to the team's workspace with the role you've been assigned.

Find the email with your team invitation and click the link. It opens the You're invited page, which shows who invited you and to which team.

The card shows the team's name, the email the invitation was sent to, and the role you'll get. At the bottom of the page you'll see when the invitation expires — The invitation expires [date].

Important

Invitations are time-limited. If you see Invitation cannot be opened, the link is either expired, already used or invalid. Contact your company's admin and ask them to send a new one.

2Pick the right situation

What you see on the page depends on whether you're already logged in:

You don't have an accountYou're logged in with the right emailYou're logged in with a different email
  • You don't have an account yet → fill in the signup form (section 3).
  • You're logged in as the invited user → accept with one click (section 4).
  • You're logged in with a different email → log out first (section 5).

3Create an account and accept

If you're not logged in, the page shows a form. The text reads: "Enter the email address the invitation was sent to, and choose a password."

Fill in the fields:

  • Email — use the address the invitation was sent to.
  • Full name — at least 2 characters.
  • Choose password — at least 8 characters.

Click Create account and accept. While the account is being created, the button changes to Creating account…. Afterwards you're logged in automatically and land directly in the team.

4Accept with one click

If you're already logged in with the email the invitation was sent to, there's no form. Instead you see a single button:

Click the button. While the acceptance is processed, it changes to Accepting…, after which you get a confirmation — Welcome to [team] — and are taken into the team's workspace.

5Logged in with a different account?

If you're logged in with an email that doesn't match the invitation, you can't accept yet. The page shows a warning:

You're logged in as [email protected] The invitation was sent to [email protected]. Log out and log in with the correct account to accept. Log out

Click Log out, log in with the account the invitation was sent to, and open the link again to accept.

6After accepting

Once the invitation is accepted, you have access to the team's workspace with the assigned role. You now appear on the team's member list with name, email and role, and you share data and projects with the rest of the team.
