What’s stored locally and in the cloud

An overview of what Arcili stores where: search history in the browser, projects and notifications safely on the server — and how it’s protected in transit.

Updated 6 June 2026

Arcili stores some things locally in your browser for speed, and other things securely on the server so they follow you across devices. Here’s the overview of what lives where, and how it’s protected.

1What’s stored locally (in your browser)

  • Search history — your most recent searches (max 15), so you can quickly return. Cleared when you clear the browser cache.
  • Address history and a few map settings — for a faster experience.
  • Drawings you make with the map’s drawing tool are stored in the current browser session.

Local data lives only on your device and isn’t shared between computers or with colleagues.

2What’s stored in the cloud (on the server)

  • Project agents and their hits — stored securely and visible only to you.
  • Notifications — only your own are shown.
  • Saved valuations and projects — so you can return to them from any device.
  • Download history — kept so you can re-download earlier exports.
Note

Sign in on a new device and your projects, notifications and saved valuations follow — because they live in the cloud, not in the local cache.

3How it’s protected in transit

All data is sent encrypted over the network (HTTPS) between your device and Arcili. Sensitive registries — such as the land register — require valid access, and actions on them are logged for compliance.

Tip

Want to remove the local history from a shared computer? Clear the local cache — it doesn’t touch your cloud projects.
